*One fun thing to do in the city of Allen is visiting the Allen Event Center. This is the one facility where many of the city’s most exciting events occur. With a total of 6,275 seats, the center is home to three different sports teams – the Allen American minor league hockey team, the Texas Revolution indoor football team, and the Dallas Sidekicks indoor soccer team. In addition to home games, the center also plays host to other events such as monster truck events, basketball tournaments, and live concerts.
*Another fun thing to do in the city of Allen is visiting the Allen Heritage Village. This park is the home to several of the city’s oldest remaining homes, as well as the historic St. Mary Baptist Church. It’s also designed to serve as a location for both residents and visitors to enjoy the history of the city from close to a century ago.
*One other fun thing to do in the city of Allen is checking out Celebration Park, which is considered by many to be one of the city’s most popular free family fun spots. Measuring a total of 104 acres, the park includes such amenities as sports courts, sports fields, hiking trails, biking trails, covered pavilions, and a popular “sprayground” referred to as kidMania, which is one area of the park that many local children enjoy playing in on hot summer days whenever they visit the park with their families, whether it be for a party, family outing, or just for a fun day out of the house.
