Here are three fun things to do in Denton.
*One fun thing to do in Denton is visiting the Little Chapel in the Woods. This building was dedicated back in 1939 by Eleanor Roosevelt and also sits on the edge of Texas Woman’s University. When it comes to what visitors feel their favorite element of the building may be, they simply can’t agree, as while some are drawn to the amazing architecture, others are drawn to the stained glass windows. Those who wish to tour the building do not have to be affiliated with the college, nor do they need to be affiliated in order to worship or get married.
*Another fun thing to do in Denton is to visit Cartwright’s Ranch House. This establishment is a 2016 winner in many restaurant categories in Best of Denton and also serves amazing homestyle cooking. Here, diners will be able to select all kinds of comfort food options, all of which are inspired by the childhood memories of owner John Cartwright and his being able to cook with his mom for all six of his siblings. Cartwright also opted to keep elements of the original edifice in the design of his restaurant in order to better highlight the change and growth that has taken place on downtown Denton’s square.
*One other fun thing to do in Denton is to take a ride on the A-Train. Part of the Denton County Transit Authority, this is a 21-mile line that takes riders all throughout Denton to the Downtown Denton Transit Center, as well as MedPark Station, Highland Village/Lewisville Lake Station, Old Town Station, and Hebron Station before then heading to the Trinity Mills Station to connect with the Dallas Green Line of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit.
